To request an audio recording from a Marion County court proceeding, complete this secure online form and submit your request. If you do not have an account with TheRecordXchange, you will be prompted to create one as you complete your request. Once available, recordings can be accessed in a streaming format only. You must be signed into your account to play the audio. Recordings are made available at no charge.
Unless you have been pre-authorized, all requests for recordings must be approved by the Court. While placing a request, you must agree to the Court's Terms and Conditions. You will also be required to explain your relationship to the matter being requested and the reason for the request. An "Authorization Form" will be created automatically and can be downloaded as a PDF. Once authorized, the Authorization Form will be updated to include the name of the authorizing judge and the date/time of authorization.
Digital audio recordings are made from the original master recording of a court proceeding and are available for verification of testimony only. Recordings are not certified for court use and may not be used as the official court record in place of an official transcript. Duplication or broadcast of digital audio recordings is strictly prohibited.
